Farm Manager

Aviagen SweChick AB is part of the Aviagen group, a world leader in breeding poultry for meat production. Based in Skåne, we breed and sell breeding chickens to customers in Sweden and the Nordic region.

We provide our customers with traditionally white-feathered breeding chickens as well as slow-growing or brown-feathered chickens.

Due to the risk of infection, you cannot own or have regular contact with birds, pigs, or reptiles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Farm Manager, under the supervision of the Team Leader, is responsible for planning and executing the daily work on the farm.

In consultation with the Team Leader, decide on measures to ensure all processes in breeding and production.

Responsible for implementing all routines and processes on the farm and taking action to ensure them.

Responsible for analyzing daily production and making decisions based on that in consultation with the Team Leader.

• Responsibility for deviations and ensuring they are handled.
• Responsibility for correcting minor faults in technical equipment.
• Responsibility for correcting minor faults in bio-security.
• Responsibility for addressing deviations in salmonella controls.
• Responsibility for keeping colleagues and team leaders informed of the current status.
• Responsibility for entering all production data daily.
• Responsibility for routinely performing alarm checks and documenting them.
• Responsibility for conducting inventory and reporting on time.
• Responsibility for sampling according to schedule.
• Responsibility for ordering feed and supplies.

Personal Qualities

Interested in animals, positive, quality-conscious, driven, responsible, able to work independently, have social skills, interested in technology, knowledge of Microsoft Office.

At the company, we communicate in Swedish, so it is important that you have a good command of the language.

Knowledge of English is a merit.

The position will be out on our farms, so you need a driver's license and access to a car.
